Kimberbell EVENTS-TWO Day Event- The Stitching Hour 10/2/26 & 10/3/26 GROUP ONE

Supplies to Bring ( FINAL SUPPLY LIST WILL BE POSTED TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO EVENT)

TO BE FAIR TO ALL STUDENTS, PLEASE COME TO CLASS PREPARED WITH YOUR MATERIALS/SUPPLIES. WE NO LONGER LOAN POWER CORDS, THREAD STANDS, HOOPS, FEET OR OTHER SUPPLIES FOR CLASS. IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED-YOU WILL NEED TO AUDIT THE CLASS. WE CANNOT CATCH YOU UP FOR PARTS OF CLASS THAT YOU MISS WHILE TRYING TO GATHER SUPPLIES LAST MINUTE. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.

• Machine, power cord, embroidery unit, and embroidery foot
• New EBBR 75/11 Needle
• Several types of scissors like Snip-eze as well as your favorite scissors to cut foam and felt (e.g., 4-6" scissor, applique scissor, snips)
•  Standard Bobbin with :  Brown Thread for the Card holder bricks on the gift card insert chimney
• Prewound L Style white bobbins and include one black bobbin also with center pin if your machine needs it
• Hoops: 4x4, 5x7, 6x10, 8x12 
• Seam ripper , Hemostats, Hand sewing needle and white thread (if you want to stitch your opening in your zipper pouch closed), Tweezers, water soluble marking pen, Corner poker such as OESD Expert Point and Press or That Purple THANG, or similar, WONDER CLIPS , as well as any other tools as you prefer for your use during embroidery

  Threads we used: RA Rayon in: Black, Aspen white, Palmetto Green, Hedge Green, Flite green, Black Chrome, Petal Pink, KA Bronze, Grayrod, Brown (with 1/5 of a bobbin of Same brown), Raspberry  or use P. 3 of your instruction book to choose your colors.  

  Stabilizer Rolls needed with enough for 2 yards minimum: Polymesh, wash away topping, Wash Away Mesh; OR precut the hoopings you will need using the instructions in your book and the hoop sizes for each project listed below.

•  Monster Stash Zipper pouch (p.4) in LARGE SIZE (8x12)

• Bat ornament (p.33) IF TIME ALLOWS. 

• IMPORTANT INFORMATION PRIOR TO CLASS DAY: 

  • We will call you when your kit arrives. 

  • YOU MUST PREPARE THINGS AHEAD OF CLASS AS KIMBERBELL DOES NOT HAVE THINGS READY TO USE. 

  • Once you have picked up your kit, use your Redemption code included in your kit to download your designs to your USB stick that is included in your kit.  IN addition to the EVENT DAY files folder, you will need the LARGE SIZE files for the zipper pouch.  Please be sure you have all of them on your stick by trying them in your machine ahead of time.

  • Please cut your fabrics as directed where it says "EVENT PREP" in Orange for each of these projects. Please come with fusible woven on the appropriate pieces for these projects as directed in the instruction book.  Measure twice and cut once.  We are no longer provided an OOPS kit for mistakes.   

  • You may also pre-cut your stabilizer for each project. Clearly label which project the cut piece is for. 

  • Be sure to clearly label all your pieces according to the "Materials" section for each project and keep them together in labeled bags.  This will speed up our preparation time.

  • Call us if you have questions.  DO NOT WAIT until class day as we do not have time to get things prepared ahead of starting our sessions.
