Sew Club 6/19/26 Zipper Bag/Zipper Techniques

Want to learn more about sewing with your Baby Lock Sewing machine? This class is for you. We will explore all things sewing in this club-style class, but we are starting out this new series learning about all those feet that came with your machine. We will break down into several sessions each of the feet and even explore some optional feet as well.

For this class we will focus on zipper installation techniques using the appropriate feet that came with your machine.

Supplies to Bring

TO BE FAIR TO ALL STUDENTS, PLEASE COME TO CLASS PREPARED WITH YOUR MATERIALS/SUPPLIES. WE NO LONGER LOAN POWER CORDS, THREAD STANDS, HOOPS, FEET OR OTHER SUPPLIES FOR CLASS. IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED-YOU WILL NEED TO AUDIT THE CLASS. WE CANNOT CATCH YOU UP FOR PARTS OF CLASS THAT YOU MISS WHILE TRYING TO GATHER SUPPLIES LAST MINUTE. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.

Baby Lock sewing machine (in good working order, clean) with power cord, foot pedal, and a new needle installed.
ALL feet and accessories that came with your sewing machine (check your manual – especially zipper foot, standard foot, and any related guides/ankles).
Pins or wonder clips, scissors, rotary cutter, rulers, and your other favorite sewing tools.
Two 8" or 9" zippers (matching or coordinating with your fabric choice).
Sewing thread and bobbin to match your fabric.
Fabric of your choice (1 fat quarter or scraps), pre-cut as follows:
- A. 6" x 12" rectangle – Outer Fabric
- B. 6" x 12" rectangle – Lining Fabric
- C. 2" x 4" rectangle – loop tag (optional)
- D. 2 pieces from fat quarter leftovers – 9" x 6"
Pen and paper for taking notes.
