Please bring:

Machine, embroidery unit, Power cord all in good working order.
Prewound style L bobbin with center pin
272mm x 272mm Square hoop (this came with your machine or upgrade and is required for this class)
Multi purpose tool to tighten hoop

1 spool of embroidery thread in color of choice
Sewing/dressmaker flexible type tape measure (120" retractable tape measures available at SEWabilities would be perfect)
Frixion marking pen
Snip-eze scissors

Pen and paper for taking notes

Please make a "Mini Quilt top" as follows (Sample in store for you to see if needed):

Piece of quilt fabric cut to 10" x 13" (Please use light colored fabrics for this exercise)
Please add a solid color border using strips that are 2.5" wide all the way around the 10x13" piece.

Your mini quilt top should now measure 14" x 17".
If you have the capability, please use a three thread narrow stitch on your serger to serge the edges of the mini quilt top.  If not, it is ok as is.

Cut  a piece of Fusible fleece/fusible batting 17" x 20".

Please iron fusible fleece, fuse N Fleece or fusible batting to the back of the quilt top with the quilt top centered on the fusible fleece/fusible batting.

Cut Mini quilt Backing piece 22" x 25", serge edges if you have that possibility.

CENTER and Layer quilt sandwich (mini quilt top, fusible fleece and backing).  You should have an equal amount of backing fabric extending around the edges of the quilt top.  We will use this for ease when hooping because we will not be using stabilizer.

Please Stitch in the ditch through the quilt sandwich in the seams where border attaches to 10x13" piece. This will become our FAUX quilt sandwich that we will use to add border quilting to in the class.

Please use good quality fabrics for this project so that you don't have a lot of stretching when trying to do the border quilting stitching part in class. Spray starch and press your prepared mini quilt well and be sure it lays flat.
