Serger Project: Serger Beaded edge Towel 9/21/24
Come make a ruffle with beads hanging on the edge for a tea towel in this class. Learn how to add strung beads to the edge of things the EASY way....with your serger! Make yours for Halloween, Christmas, or make yours fancy and elegant with pretty beads for a pillow flange or a garment. Use the same technique to make your own JEWELRY! In this class, you will learn how to use fishing line with your coverstitch foot to add decorative beads to the edge of anything you can dream up!
This project is a skill builder class and is NOT intended for those unfamiliar with threading their machine.
MUST HAVE BABY LOCK AIR THREAD SERGER (VICTORY OR HIGHER ---MUST HAVE A, B, C, D DIAL ON RIGHT OF MACHINE)
Supplies to bring:
- Baby Lock Air Thread Serger (Victory and higher--must have ABCD dial on right side of machine) with power cord and foot control in good working order.
- Good Quality Fabric cut into 3 Strips: 6" x WOF.
- 12 Weight thread in color of your choice and two regular serger cones to match
- Brand new pack of serger needles
- We will provide fishing line and beads for you to learn with.
- Tea towel isn't required as part of the class....this is a suggestion for use of your ruffle.
- Triumph or Ovation? Please bring your coverstitch foot (it is skinny and helps you see very well! You'll thank me--I promise... and no, we aren't doing a cover stitch, just using the foot). Also, bring curve foot for another option.
- If you only have a four thread machine, bring your standard foot.
- Reader glasses if you need them to see well for fine detail work.

Supplies listed ABOVE PLUS also basic sewing supplies like scissors, Fray Check, your accessories that came with your serger, your quick threading guide, screwdrivers, lint brush, Water soluble or Frixion marking pin, tweezers, etc.
